These updates aim to modernize safety expectations, clarify enforcement tools, and support ongoing revitalization efforts. Full details, background information, draft documents, and FAQs are available on the project website. Key changes include: Adoption of the 2024 IPMC, replacing the 2012 edition. Updated local amendments that clarify expectations for weeds, storage, safety requirements, and enforcement processes. Possible replacement of the former Downtown Property Maintenance Standards (which applied only to RDA 1) with the newly named Redevelopment Area Property Maintenance Standards, which would apply to both RDA 1 and RDA 2. Engagement Opportunities: Two virtual workshops will be held to gather community feedback: Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. Spanish language assistance will be available at both workshops.
