As we get closer to the start of 2026, it feels like a good moment to pause and take in where we are as a community, while also looking ahead to what’s next for the Biggest Little City. A new year always brings a fresh sense of possibility, and I’m grateful for the momentum we’re carrying forward as a community! In this edition of The Reno Report, you’ll find a new episode of On the Agenda, which we're calling "Off the Agenda." It's a special “best of” look back at some of the topics and conversations from 2025 you may have missed and revisits important work from the past year. None of that progress happens without people, and I want to sincerely thank our City of Reno team members for the care, commitment, and pride they bring to their work every day. Their efforts throughout 2025 made a real difference for our residents, and I’m incredibly thankful. This season also marks one year since I stepped into the role of Reno’s City Manager. I am humbled and grateful to the Reno City Council for entrusting me with this role. Over the past year, I’ve been incredibly proud of the work our team has done and the progress we’ve made together in service to our community. I appreciated the Reno Gazette Journal’s recent, thoughtful look back at that first year, and it reinforced both how much has been accomplished and the opportunity still ahead. I’m excited to continue building on this work alongside the Reno City Council, our team and community! Make sure you check out the different public meetings coming up, including the Lear Community Meeting on January 10. I also encourage you to take a moment to learn about the Reno Fire Department’s Community Connect program. It’s a simple, free way to help first responders better serve you and your needs during emergencies. As we welcome the new year, I wish you and your loved ones a safe, healthy, and happy 2026. Thank you for being part of Reno’s story. I look forward to all that we’ll continue to accomplish together!
