View as Webpage January 24, 2025 Reno Connect | Parks & Recreation Junior Ranger Program   Explore, Learn, and Earn Your Badge with the 2025 Junior Ranger Program! The City of Reno is excited to announce the launch of the 2025 Junior Ranger Program—a fun way for participants of all ages and abilities to connect with nature, learn new skills, and enjoy the great outdoors in our beautiful parks. 🌟 How It Works Pick up your FREE Junior Ranger Guide at any City of Reno recreation facility or access it online. Collect stickers by participating in activities led by Reno Park Rangers. Complete six activities (with at least one activity in each of the participating ward parks), earn six stickers, and celebrate your achievement with an official swearing-in ceremony in January 2026 to receive your Junior Ranger Badge! Each ward is represented with Idlewild, Valley Wood, Huffaker, Mira Loma, Dorothy McAlinden/Mayors, and Teglia’s Paradise Parks. 🎉 Kickoff Event When: Sunday, January 26, 12 p.m.–2 p.m. Where: Huffaker Park Activity: A fun hiking adventure (weather permitting). Mobility support, including Grit Freedom Chairs, is available—please call (775) 657-4602 to reserve. 👩‍👧‍👦 Who Can Join? Everyone! A parent or guardian must accompany children under 18.
