These gatherings are designed to foster open, transparent communication between RPD and residents, allowing for meaningful conversations about public safety in Reno. The first town hall will take place on Thursday, February 12, at North Valleys High School at 1470 E. Golden Valley Rd. Doors will open at 5 p.m., with tabling by various departments, and the discussion will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Additional town hall events will be announced throughout the year. Town halls provide a unique opportunity for community members to connect directly with RPD, ask questions, and share their concerns. Residents can submit questions in advance by emailing askrpd@reno.gov, or participate during the live Q&A portion by raising their hand. Families are encouraged to attend and enjoy Rolling Recreation activities provided, requiring parent/guardian supervision. The town halls will be ADA accessible and have Spanish assistance available. Residents who need additional accommodations can email access@reno.gov. RPD looks forward to these town halls as a chance to listen, collaborate, and continue working together with the community to keep Reno safe.
