View as Webpage June 12, 2025 Reno Connect | Regional Junior Ranger Day Join for the activities!   Regional Junior Ranger Day Happening Saturday, June 21 The City of Reno invites residents to participate in its Regional Junior Ranger Day on Saturday, June 21. Attendees can learn more about the City’s local parks, nature, and conservation. The event is happening from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mira Loma Park located at 3000 S. McCarran Boulevard. The event is family-friendly and free to attend. The event will feature hourly interpretive education activities, as well as a bike rodeo led by Kiwanis International. Members of the Nevada Air National Guard will present the colors and perform the national anthem. In addition, a Black Hawk helicopter will land on the lawn, courtesy of the Nevada Army National Guard. This event is hosted in partnership with the following organizations: Nevada State Parks, Washoe County Park Rangers, Carson City Park Rangers, City of Reno Rangers, Nevada Army National Guard, Nevada Air National Guard, Nevada Department of Wildlife, Kiwanis International, and Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful. The City of Reno’s Parks and Recreation Team is currently hosting its Junior Ranger Program activities throughout 2025. The program features monthly activities at six different Reno parks, running now through December 2025. Interested community members can pick up a free Junior Ranger Guide at any City of Reno recreation facility or access it online.
